Chipboards Particleboard is cheaper, denser and more uniform than conventional wood and plywood, and is substituted for them when appearance and strength are less important than cost. However, particleboard can be made more attractive by painting or the use of wood veneers that are glued onto surfaces that will be visible.
Though it is denser than conventional wood, it is the lightest type of fiberboard, except for insulation board.
Chipboards Fire Rated Chipboard ( Halspan )
Halspan is a fire rated core with a 3-layer particle board. Designed to out-perform other types of board, it is ideal as a solid core door and better / easier to make, veneer and laminate.
Originating from the most modern high-tech plant, high volume and flow line production ensures consistent high quality, guaranteed product performance and output to meet all requirements.
Thicknesses : 44mm, 54mm, & 64mm
Resistance : 30, 60, & 90 Minutes.
Origin : Halspan – UK
Solid Chipboard (FlaxBoard)
Flaxboard is by nature voluminous and light, exceptionally stable, sound reducing, heat insulation, and fire reducing. The ideal usage is for doors, walls and furniture.
By using flaxboard as core material in doors, customers can produce imitation solid doors in a flexible and economic way. By laying down a simple piece of flaxboard in the doorframe, the door is upgraded at a very low price, and allows the producer to realize more added value.
